TEMPORARY OBJECTS OF CONTAINMENT

This work is an exploration of the complex relationship between human beings and their environment, specifically through the lens of molting, containers, and found objects. I am fascinated by the concept of shedding old skin and the transformative power of such a process. By examining this natural phenomenon, I seek to highlight the ways in which we as individuals shed parts of ourselves and our lives over time, and the impact that this has on our relationship with the world around us.

Found belongings are another crucial element of my work, as they represent the tangible remnants of our past selves. Through the juxtaposition of these objects with other materials, I hope to create a sense of dissonance that encourages reflection and introspection. Through examinations of change over time, I seek to create a sense of impermanence and fluidity: challenging the idea of fixed identities and experiences.
